Theater chains use different brand names, so the useful words in the listing are the projection technology and audio format rather than the adjective attached to the auditorium.
If the booking page names only a premium screen or IMAX without identifying the projector, check the theater’s technical page or ask the location. The answer may be incomplete, which is information in itself. Paying extra for a mystery projector makes little sense when the main visual requirement is precise shadow separation.
Standard laser remains the fallback, and it is not a consolation prize. A clean, properly masked standard auditorium, with screen borders set to the image and minimal stray light, can handle close physical detail better than a neglected large room. Choose a central seat far enough back that the image fills the field of view without forcing constant eye movement; for this film, proximity should not be used to manufacture scale that the presentation lacks.
